The Multi-Cultural Festival of WV, Inc., aka Multifest, is a non-profit organization that seeks to enrich & enhance multiculturalism in the lives of those we serve in our community. This is done by providing a venue to celebrate diversity for all citizens through art, music, education, cultural programming, ethnic cuisine and more.

Multifest started in 1989 with the first festival held on the grounds of the State Capital of West Virginia. Since its inception, the festival has grown to be one of the longest running festival in the State of WV. Multifest is also proud to have the status of being the largest diversity related festival in West Virginia, with over 30 plus years of experience in organizing a FREE outdoor festival. To date, the festival has attracted more than a million participants to where people have planned their summer vacations, family & high school reunions, girls’ trip & other special events to include Multifest on their weekend agenda.

Multifest is seen as a viable & respectable entity that plays a very important role in helping people whose lives are affected by the lack of diversity in our community. In addition to, the lack of diversified events, cultural awareness programs and ethnic entertainment, which Multifest can provide and deliver. The festival is largely financially supported by Corporate Sponsors & Private Donors to meet a yearly average budget of $250,000. However, the budget for Multifest 34 in ‘24 is $375,000, which will allow Multifest to continue a 4-day festival providing top-quality multi-cultural entertainment and youth programs. Without the support of generous donors like yourself, these needs could go unmet.
